Springs Board Passes Proposed Budget; 6.07 Percent Increase Projected
At a board meeting on Friday, April 25, Springs School Board passed a proposed budget of $21,219,873 million for the 2008-2009 school year. The proposed budget came after a “long and arduous process,” said Springs Superintendent Thomas Quinn.

Petition To Close Bridgehampton High School Rejected Again
The Bridgehampton Board of Education rejected board member Joseph Berhalter’s revised petition to phase out high school level classes. By a five to one vote, with board member Joe Conti voting in favor, the board said the petition lacked sufficient financial information to put it as a referendum on the May 20 ballot.
