In 1958 Charles Bourke Wildbank, eldest of nine children and congenitally profoundly deaf, was taking piano lessons after school. One day his music teacher called his parents and suggested they enroll him in art lessons instead. From there an art career began that would have him traveling the globe and settling in Jamesport on the North Fork.
