The area's supermarkets are going the way of the superstore craze evidenced in towns west of the Shinnecock Canal as residents of Hampton Bays will be able to avail themselves of a 40 thousand square-foot Stop and Shop by this time next year. Similarly the King Kullen supermarket chain has sights on a location in the Tuckahoe-Shinnecock Hills neighborhood.

The weekend may have started off soggy but that didn’t stop party goers in the Hamptons. I stopped by Tide Runners in Hampton Bays for its opening day and Cyril’s Fish House in Amagansett. La Superica was packed on Monday in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. The season hasn’t officially started but we already have too many events to keep track of in the Hamptons.
